Catching up...

Well, it seems that I have been MIA for awhile now....almost a week...yikes. So it is time for me to play catch up.

Last Friday I went to a park with my two of my sister in laws and my mother in law for a picnic and to let the kids play. I'll tell you what. There were four women and five children and the food we brought was obscene!! 2 bags of doritos, a bag of dorito mix, cheetos, cookies (2 kinds), donuts, cherries (2 bags) grapes, chicken, hot dogs, and stuff to make smores. We were at the park for about 3 hours. Yikes!! Needless to say this day was horrific in the way of maintaining any sort of healthy diet!!

Saturday I got up early and did a 5k Volkswalk with my father in law and step mother in law. This was great! I pushed the kids in the stroller and that added to the challenge. I did good with food this day, if I remember correctly. Nothing stands out, so that is a good thing.

Sunday...I don't know that I got any exercise in this day but I figured it was ok because of the 5k the previous day...not a great frame of mind, but hey, it's been freakin' hot here lately and I just didn't wanna!!! So there....!! We were invited to my mother in laws for dinner and had a healthy dinner of salad and roast. But then dessert came around. I need to learn to ask for a smaller portion.

Monday... I made it back to my hip hop class and still LOVE IT!! We had some friends over to bbq and I had a turkey burger. Way less fat than a beef hamburger!!

Tuesday...horrible day food wise. I was dehydrated in the evening....that does some weird things to your body, let me tell you!! I did run a total of 3/4 of a mile though. I ran about half of that, then walked, and then ran again all while pushing the double jogging stroller and going up and down some hills! I felt pretty proud of myself! And amazingly enough my shins weren't too bad.

I have decided to apply for the Biggest Loser with my sister in law. I printed out the application just now and when she gets back from Seattle this coming weekend we are going to make a video to submit. I really have mixed feelings about it. I would absolutely love to be on the show and experience the torment of the trainers, but leaving my kids would be the hardest thing that I would ever have to do in my life! But like so many other moms who have been on the show, it is for the benefit of your children and family in the long run.

So, I raise my glass of water to all you out there in cyberland who are trying to live healthier, happier lives and wish you all the best!
